Superswitcher, a super alternative to alt+tab

I recently came across a fantastic alternative to the alt+tab command on Linux, it’s called Superswitcher.

superswitcher

Nice features on it

Press the command touch (Windows touch on the keyboard) to display Superswitcher.

To switch from a desktop to another press Command + arrow left or right

To switch from available windows in a desktop press Command + arrow up or down

To move a window into another desktop press Command + shift + arrow left or right

To search within all windows name Command + [any text]

Screencast

I’ve just recorded a quick screencast to show all these functionalities

So?

For me it’s now a must have on every computer I use, because it make organizing my desktops really easily.

Hello Nicolas. It is all very very cool. But if you are using KDE 4, you can do it all with no additional software. You just have to configure global shortcuts.

    Hey mate,

Yea I know for KDE 4, and I swear I tried to use it, but I just can’t stand it. Reminds me Mac os too much ;) I really like my gnome (over) simplicity.

Nicolas, every time I read your blog and Twitter, you surprise me more and more. All people in the world dream to work with Mac and to have Mac. But you got away from Mac to Linux, it is really cool!

I am 100% Linux fan too. And at all my PC I have only Linux (OpenSuse). And I am really proud that Linux community has people like you.
